What we do
At KINSHI we are hellbent on flattering the human form. What better way to do that than to outline, underscore and highlight the best parts of you and your wardrobe?Combining our love of fashion and fandom with a double shot of sensuality, we hope that you feel as badass in our designs as the characters & pop culture that inspired them.
The name KINSHI was chosen as an homage to the intimate art of Japanese bondage—Kinbaku-bi ("the beauty of tight binding") and Shibari ("to tie decoratively")—and turned out to be a Japanese word meaning “forbidden" or "taboo”!

Washing
We recommend spot washing your items as necessary. Hand wash in cool water (no hotter than lukewarm!) with a little laundry detergent, just as you would other delicate lingerie. For removable chain pieces, use a little bit of dish detergent instead and dry well with a towel.

We may cycle designs in and out of our catalogue, but most styles will still be available. Our made-to-order process makes it easy to accommodate most remake requests! Sizing
Since most of our products are made with a stretch elastic, they can fit a range of sizes! Please check the measurements provided on the Sizing page before purchasing. Orders
PRODUCTION TIME
Please remember that all of our products are handmade and made-to-order. That means your product is never collecting dust in some warehouse corner; it exists specifically for you! Please expect a 4-8 week turnaround time on production before your items are shipped.This time frame takes into account the acquisition of materials from suppliers, the time it takes to drape, size, and sew your garment, and the queue ahead of you.If production length is known to differ based on specific products or materials, it will be stated on the product page. Should any delays arise while making your order, you will be notified right away via email.
RUSH ORDERS
All orders are made in the order in which they are received. Please contact us before placing your order and we’ll be able to assess your needs based on our supply stock. Should your rush request be accepted, a rush fee may apply.
PRE-ORDER ITEMS
Product listings on Pre-Order take longer than standard orders. Please check the product page for the estimated release date of a ‘Pre-Order’ item. After this date, turnaround times are the standard 4-8 weeks, and then shipping times apply.
ISSUE WITH ORDER
Please contact us if there is an issue with your order. Before submitting a ticket, please read our Store Policy & FAQ page thoroughly and be aware that we can not accommodate exemptions.

Payment
IS PAYMENT SECURE?
Payments can be made via PayPal or Stripe, which keep all your information safe through every transaction. When you send a payment using once of these processors, Kinshi won't receive sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number. Through PayPal and Stripe we can accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others. You may also make payments through PayPal using your bank account, but note that this could delay the start date for your order.

Refunds, returns & exchanges
Please read this section carefully.We can not accept returns & exchanges at this time. Due to the intimate nature of our products, this is a measure to protect the health and hygiene of our staff and all of our customers.Because all of our products are handmade, it is natural that slight imperfections may occur. All products are checked for damage prior to packaging for shipment.Returns or exchanges can not be offered for incorrect size ordered, change of heart, minor imperfections, or parcels that are missing, lost or damaged in the post. Please check our Sizing page and design details of each item before purchase, and read through the shipping section of our FAQ page.Exchanges can be accepted should the order have been incorrectly fulfilled (shipped in a size, color or style different from what you ordered). Shipping cost and product cost for items returned without contacting us first can not be refunded.If there is still an issue with your order, you may contact us keeping in mind that we will adhere to the policies outlined on this page. We hope this section was clear and thank you for your understanding.
CANCELLATIONS
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us right away. If your order has been started, there will be a cancellation fee.All custom orders are final. Due to the process required, if your custom order has been started, a refund can not be issued.The deadline for all cancellations is one week from placing an order. Should your cancellation fall outside of this timeframe, a refund can not be issued.
CUSTOMS, DUTIES & TAXES
All international orders will be fulfilled as per postal policies and law.Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient and vary depending on the country in which you reside. We can not falsely document a package’s contents for any reason.
Lost Packages
We can not be held responsible for lost or stolen mail, especially after proof of delivery. Once a package is collected by a courier, it becomes the responsibility of the carrier company.Please check with your neighbours, your concierge, and/or the last postal service indicated in tracking to track down or dispute a missing package.If your package was destroyed by postal services due to failed delivery/no response from the buyer, a refund of your order can not be issued.
